National Day of Prayer event at the Jackson County Courthouse

In Jackson County, people from all walks of life joined together on their lunch breaks to pray.

About 40 people turned out for Jackson County’s National Day of Prayer annual service in front of the courthouse building in Pascagoula.

This year’s prayer rally was not on as large a scale as in year’s past, but Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell is just happy everyone was free to turn out, join together, and pray in person this year, especially after last year’s event could not be held in person. “The National Day of Prayer has been something we’ve gathered around here for years for in front of the Jackson County Courthouse. We can sit and share and pray, and people of faith come out and share their concerns and prayers. It’s always been a good event, and we are very proud to be a part of it again this year.”

The county plans to continue this annual tradition for the National Day of Prayer.
