National Adopt a Cat Month
June is National Adopt a Cat Month and the Humane Society of South Mississippi is asking for help emptying their shelter.
HSSM has about 107 cats in the shelter, saying they are running out of space.
On Sunday, the shelter received 16 more kittens that were brought in from just one location.
If anyone adopts a cat from the Humane Society, their new furry friend comes with a spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, a microchip, and a starter bag of food.
Today is also the perfect day to do it as June 4th is National Hug a Cat Day!
