Mythic Skateboards debuts at Biloxi First Friday Downtown Block Party

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — The City of Biloxi hosted its monthly First Friday Downtown Block Party to begin the Easter holiday weekend, and it featured plenty of excitement.

Aside from the usual food trucks, vendors and live entertainment, Mythic Skateboards also made its public debut.

Skaters gathered to check out the organization’s merchandise and experience a team-based skateboard competition, with two teams facing off in a series of challenges.

“Mythic Skateboards is another way that I found to serve my community with products and skateboards that really represent the resilience, creativity and community that is the Gulf Coast,” founder Tyler Prowart said. “We have had several years where we haven’t had a main board company that has been representing these guys, so tonight, we’re going to be celebrating how talented our skateboarders here are, and we don’t want anyone to forget that legends start locally, and that’s what we’re all about.”

First Friday takes place monthly, and the event is free.
