Mystic Krewe of Seahorse hosted Pirate Day in the Bay

The Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse hosted its eighth annual Pirate Day in the Bay festival featuring several events for guests to participate in.

The festival included a pirate-themed play area and scavenger hunt, costume contests for the little buccaneers and adults, the Pirate Invasion Golf Cart Parade, and more.

Several vendors were seen around Pirate Central selling eye patches, pirate swords, and other accessories.

Festivalgoer Bryan Anderson says the people go all out for their costumes. “Everybody does their own little special thing and there’s people out here who have spent thousands of dollars on their costumes. We go the cheap route, but we have a good time, but we don’t go cheap on the beer. We have a good night. We have all our friends out and that’s what it is all about. It’s all about the kids.”

The Pirate Day in the Bay Festival ended the weekend with fireworks and live music.
