Myles Brennan Headlines Four Division 1 Signees at St. Stanislaus
For a couple of weeks in December, no one knew if today’s outcome would be what it was with regards to St. Stanislaus quarterback Myles Brennan. The state’s all-time leading passer was a hot commodity once he reopened his recruitment, but Brennan stayed faithful to LSU.
Brennan officially became a tiger, headlining what was truly a who’s who of high school football recruits at SSC. Also going division 1 on National Signing Day were his three favorite targets, starting with Chase Rogers who is heading off to Louisiana-Lafayette.
The other tight end, Darius Pittman, is going to Purdue while wide receiver Corbin Blanchard put pen to paper with the Air Force Academy and just to think, they were all on the field at the same time.
Brennan said, “It was crazy. That’s something you can’t really describe, it’s kind of like playing in Death Valley. You can’t describe it. It’s something you’ve been waiting for your whole life, and it’s finally come. Even though it’s just five seconds writing pen to paper, it was something awesome.”
Rogers said, “Honestly I didn’t think this was going to happen. I mean maybe a couple little schools here and there and then these big schools started popping up and I was like wow, this is actually going to be a future for me. And so I started working hard, and one summer I went to 16 different schools and that’s when everything started. Glad to be in this position”
Pittman said, “I couldn’t sleep man, it was hard, but I’m excited to perform in front of those fans. The fans want to win, they want to win. They’ve been ready for this program since Drew Brees, so we’re hoping to turn this thing around and upset Louisville first game.”
Blanchard said, “Yeah, I didn’t just sign four years today, I signed nine. So, in a way it’s a blessing because I do have a job. And I can have it for five years, or I could have it for 20 if I wanted it. “
Overall, the Rock-A-Chaws had five signees, the other being offensive lineman Mark Cook who is going to PRCC.
