Murder Suspects in Court This Morning

A capital murder trial begins today for 17-year-old Rashad Johnson and 19-year-old Jalen Williams in the 2014 shooting of Lamont Hayes.
Police say the two broke into the home of Hayes on Carson Drive in the summer of 2014. They are accused of waking up and assaulting Hayes, before fatally shooting him in the groin. Police say the two then fled the scene before trying to steal the victim’s vehicle. Trial is set to begin at the Harrison County courthouse this morning.
