Murder suspect returned to California

The California triple homicide suspect who was arrested in Biloxi will be extradited back to California. Police say it’s possible he was on the Coast for more than a month.
Biloxi police arrested Jerod Michael Watson Friday by Howard Avenue after a call was made about homeless people causing a disturbance downtown. When police asked for Watson’s identification they found out Watson was wanted by the Sacramento California Police Department, accused of killing a woman and her two grandsons.
Biloxi Police Chief John Miller tells News 25 when witnessing any sort of suspicious activity it’s always a good idea to notify police. “A lot of time people don’t call because they’re afraid they’re bothering us or they’re not right or they’re afraid they’re going to look ridiculous. The reality of it is if you have that gut feeling and it doesn’t look right, it’s probably not right. Make the call.”
According to Sacramento authorities, the victims of the triple murder were found dead in their Sacramento apartment in October.
Watson is at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. After his extradition takes place, he will be transferred to California.
