Murder suspect extradited to Forrest County

The man accused of murdering Lauren Johansen earlier this month has been transferred from Harrison County to the custody of the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office.

That information being confirmed to us by Harrison County Sheriff’s Office officials. This is the new booking mug shot for 23-year-old Bricen Rivers.

According to the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office website, Rivers was booked into the Forrest County Adult Detention Center at 11:05 Wednesday morning.

Rivers is facing three charges out of Forrest County: first degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, and auto grand larceny.

Harrison County Sheriff’s officials also telling us that the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is taking the lead in the investigation into Rivers.
