Murder Case Ruled Mistrial

A mistrial was the result after a previous guilty murder verdict of Johnny Owens III was found to be untrue.
The jury deliberated for over two hours in the case Wednesday and stated they reached a unanimous verdict in the 2013 murder of Larry Johnson.
Upon further inquiry by the court, it was learned the verdict was not unanimous. Circuit Court Judge Lisa Dodson declared a mistrial.
The case is rescheduled for trial on December 12th.
