Multiple wrecks stall traffic on I-10

Traffic was at a standstill this morning on Interstate 10 after a series of wrecks happened in the Gulfport area.

Gulfport police tell us there was a tractor-trailer truck that jack-knifed in the eastbound lanes and another that spilled oil on the interstate in the westbound lanes.

The wrecks stopped traffic at Highway 49 and then police had to block traffic from Cowan Lorraine to Canal Road on I-10 to clean up the oil.

Eastbound lanes on I-10 near the Alabama state line were also blocked after a crash happened there.
