‘Muddy Princess’ run arrives on the Coast

More than a hundred women dressed up in tutus for a 5K at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.

‘Muddy Princess’ is a women’s only race, focused on female empowerment and camaraderie.

After a brief warmup, groups of racers set out on the 5K course and waded, crawled, and paddled through mud. Venetia Gonzales represents ‘Paws in the Pass.’ She said, “The important thing is togetherness and bonding. It’s great to lean on other females, and overcome certain obstacles. But it’s togetherness and showing and representing the wonderful combination of all the females together.”

‘Muddy Princess’ emphasizes having fun over competition.
