MSU’s Vic Schaefer up for Naismith Award

Head man of the Mississippi State women’s basketball team, Vic Schaefer, has been named a semi-finalist for Naismith National Coach of the Year.
He’s one of ten still in the running for the high honor and he very well could be the front-runner. Right now, his second ranked Bulldogs are still undefeated at 28-0 with more wins in the country than any other school, men’s or women’s. Those 28 victories are a program record and this year’s SEC regular season title is the first in MSU history.
State plays host to Auburn for its final regular season home game tomorrow at 7 p.m.
