A quick turn of the page for Mississippi State’s Brent Rooker who was taken on the first day of the MLB First Year Player Draft.
He went to the Minnesota Twins at 35 overall, after posting the best numbers for any SEC player in over three decades. He won the league’s triple crown and led the Bulldogs back to their second straight Super Regional.
Also in that Super Regional was LSU’s Alex Lange who was taken by the Chicago Cubs five picks earlier at 30th overall.
