MSU receives extension for innovation lab

Mississippi State University has received a five-year extension for the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Fish to address the global food security challenges through aquatic food systems.

The lab is funded through the United States’ Global Hunger and Food Security Initiative.

New activities in the next 5 years will prioritize work on climate-smart aquatic system innovations, nutrition, food systems, and access to improved inputs.

The lab will focus its work in priority countries such as Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya, and Zambia.

The lab’s previous five-year research portfolio encompassed 24 activities in 10 countries, primarily in Africa and Asia.
