MSDH reports 560 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths for the three-day period

New numbers released from the Mississippi State Department of Health today show there were less than 600 newly reported COVID cases over the weekend.

The health department says there were 560 new cases over a three-day period from Friday to Sunday.

There were also five deaths reported, two of which occurred since Thursday. The additional three date back to mid to late October.

Fifty-three percent of people in Mississippi 12 and older are now considered fully vaccinated.
