MSDH reports 555 COVID-19 cases and 34 deaths for the three-day period

Today MSDH is reporting an additional 555 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 34 deaths for the three-day period October 22 through October 24.

Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 501,652, with 10,024 deaths.

Around 70 percent of people who have died were at least 65-years-old. Nine of those killed by the virus were children and 15 were pregnant women.

Close to 25 percent of all people who died from COVID in Mississippi had hypertension.
