MSDH reports 4,412 new COVID cases, 20 deaths statewide

Mississippi is reporting its largest single-day total of new COVID-19 cases.

Today, the Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting an additional 4,412 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 20 deaths.

Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 376,124 with 7,730 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 10 additional COVID-19 cases in residents of long-term care facilities and no additional deaths.

Current outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities have increased to 162.

Ninety percent or more of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are among unvaccinated Mississippians.
