MSDH reports 1,317 new COVID-19 cases
Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 1,317 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and eight deaths.
Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 333, 180 with 7,502 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified five additional COVID-19 cases in residents of long-term care facilities and two deaths.
There are currently 62 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
Delta cases have been steady in South Mississippi:
- Hancock County has one new delta variant case
- Harrison County has a total of 13 delta case
- Jackson County with two cases
- Pearl River County at one new case
- Stone with 14 new Delta cases
Overall, Mississippi now stands at a total of 365 delta cases. As for vaccinations throughout the state MSDH reports that 1,017,820 have been fully vaccinated so far.
