MSDH reporting 4,249 new COVID-19 cases and 109 deaths statewide

Today MSDH is reporting an additional 4,249 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 109 deaths.

Nineteen of these deaths occurred between January 21 and January 31. An additional 90 deaths occurred between January 1 and January 31, identified from death certificate reports (most of these additional deaths occurred in the first half of January, identified after a review of January’s death certificate data).

Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 731,667, with 11,044 deaths.
