MS Governor Candidate Dr. Valerie Short Stopped By the Coast
Today Dr. Valerie Short, a Democratic candidate for Governor, made a stop on the Coast for a meet and greet.
Dr. Short’s supporters and interested voters packed into Ms. Aubrey’s Southern Kitchen and Catering to hear the candidate lay out her plans for the state.
Dr. Short is from Virginia. She raised her family in Mississippi and has lived here for the past 22 years. She believes her experience as a mother, time in the Air Force, years as a doctor and being a business woman have all prepared her to be Governor.
“My platform, per se, is access to quality healthcare. Access to excellent education. Access, quality diversification, growth for our economy, that is the platform,” said Dr. Short.
Mississippi primary elections will be held Tuesday August 4th.
