Movie starring Sylvester Stallone and Jason Patric being filmed in Waveland
A movie is being filmed on the Coast this week.
‘Armored’ is an action movie about a father and son’s adventure across the United States and they’re filming one of those adventures at the Keesler Federal Credit Union in Waveland.
It is produced by Convergence Production and will feature Sylvester Stallone and Jason Patric.
The production cast and extras are mostly made up of locals and so far, they’ve impressed the director. Second Second Assistant Director Savannah Belcher said, “I know not many things come to Mississippi, but the more accommodating people are around here, is just going to bring more jobs and more of these cool experiences to local communities. It just means a lot to be in my home state and doing what I love.”
Director Justin Routt said, “They’re all good people. Hard workers. No lazy ones on the crew at all. We all get along really well, and it’s really, really been a good thing. We’ve been back three times. We went to the bridge by Pearlington, here, and we’re going to another house. I mean, we’re just all over the place! Just one after the next.”
The production is approved by Sag-Aftra and is following all of their guidelines.
