Movers and Shakers Social Club offered free back-to-school haircuts
A local social club is making sure kids are feeling confident ahead of the new school year.
The Movers and Shakers Social Club hosted their inaugural Back-to-School Free Haircuts event at the East Biloxi Boys and Girls Club yesterday.
Youth ages five to 15-years-old were invited to come receive free haircuts and trims.
By offering this service, the organizers sought to alleviate some of the financial burden that families may face when preparing for the back-to-school season, while also promoting a sense of community involvement and support. Boys and Girls Club Unit Director Maurice Ben said, “Just the community needing haircuts. I know some people have problems getting haircuts, different foods, like different things. We just stepped up and we were able to provide free haircuts to the community.”
Movers and Shakers Social Club in partnership with the East Biloxi Boys and Girls Club provided services to over 100 guests.
