Mounts Arraignment Today

The former Biloxi Firefighter pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of a waffle house waitress.

Johnny mount appeared in front of Judge Lisa Dodson in Biloxi Circuit Court today.
A grand jury indicted the 45 year old for first degree murder for the November 27th killing of Julie Brightwell.
The 52-year-old was shot and killed while working behind the counter at a waffle house on Highway 90 in Biloxi.
Police say mount was the customer who pulled the trigger after Brightwell asked him to put out his cigarette.
There were three other employees and six customers inside of the diner at the time of the shooting.
Mount’s trial date is set for February 13th.
