Motorcycle deputy recovering after being hit by deer in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after he was hit by a deer on his motorcycle Thursday night.
Jackson County sheriff’s officials tell us the deputy was heading home on Highway 63 near Highway 614 when a deer came out of the woods and ran onto the road.
The deputy ended up with a fractured wrist and collarbone, as well as some road rash, but has since been released from the hospital.
