Moss Police Police Department holds community reception

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV) — The Moss Point Police Department held a community reception, inviting residents out to city hall to meet and hear directly from officers and staff who serve the city.

Moss Point community members came out to city hall to get to know the law enforcement officers that serve their city each day. This is all part of Chief Dennis Stevenson’s focus on community engagement, transparency, and improved communication to bridge the gap between police and Moss Point residents.

Some of those Moss Point officers in attendance say this is something they find extremely important for their community.

We also got to hear from some of those community members who came out in support of this initiative.

Chief Stevenson says this is something he hopes to continue in the future.
