Moss Point working to repair sink hole in ward six
Crews are working to fix a troublesome sink hole on Bellview Avenue in Moss Point.
Moss Point residents in ward six say the sink hole was several feet deep and about eight to ten inches wide when it formed last week. City workers have the section of Bellview Avenue closed while they patch up the hole.
Residents living on the street tell News 25 a sink hole of this size can really inconvenience drivers or damage vehicles. Moss Point resident Catori Pollard said, “Any sink hole would be a problem for any neighborhood so as long as you can get them fixed, get them fixed as fast as you can. It’s good to see the city doing work especially when we have a problem and they’re not hesitant on getting the job done and anytime they’re fixing road problems that’s always good.”
Moss Point city officials say the hole should be fixed by the end of the day and the final asphalt should be laid next week.
