Moss Point Tigers celebrate homecoming

The Moss Point Tiger Homecoming Parade celebrated past, present, and future Tigers.

Parade floats, music, candy, and treats were the highlight of the parade as residents lined the streets in support of their local school district.

As the parade wrapped up, a community bonfire and pep rally brought everyone together at the football stadium.

The reason for homecoming is to remind everyone of the meaning and importance of home. Moss Point School District Superintendent Dr. Shannon Vincent-Raymond said, “When I arrived six years ago, homecoming was just this big. It’s gotten bigger over time, the one thing that I love about it is that it is Tigers from present and past coming together for the benefit of talking to our students about their careers, their life choices, and then celebrating children. Anything that celebrates the children, I’m all for.”

Kickoff for Friday night’s homecoming against Bay High is at 7 p.m.
