Moss Point soccer standout Jamayl Ducksworth signs to continue academic and athletic career at Waldorf University
It is always a great day when any high school student-athlete can put pen to paper to choose where they will continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. At Moss Point high school on Thursday, one of those student-athletes did just that.
On Thursday, Jamayl Ducksworth inked his national letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Waldorf University. While at Moss Point, Ducksworth was a captain of the men’s soccer team for his junior and senior season. He was nominated for al-star teams in 2023 and 2024 and set a new school record with 17 goals scored in a single season. Ducksworth was nominated and selected to play in the 2025 Coast All-Star soccer match. After the ink dried on his national letter of intent, he spoke on what Moss Point high school means to him.
“If I didn’t come here I feel like I would not be where I am at right now,” Ducksworth said. “The coaches that I have seen, even other sports coaches, they have pushed taught me what to do in the weight room and how to work. I feel like if I didn’t come to Moss Point I wouldn’t be where I am at right now.”
Congratulations to Jamayl and we can’t wait to see you perform at the next level in your collegiate career.
