Moss Point resource officer sentenced for sexual abuse

The Moss Point High School resource officer who was found guilty of sexually abusing a 16-year-old student in 2009 was sentenced today.
The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office says Circuit Court Judge Kathy Jackson sentenced 51-year-old Kevin Williams to serve 20 years in jail and ten years of post-release probation for sexual battery. On count two of touching a child for lustful purposes, he was sentenced 15 years.
On top of that, Williams will pay thousands of dollars in fines plus he will have to register as a sex offender.
