Moss Point Police Department shares message ahead of Fourth of July

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- Moss Point Police Chief Dennis Stevenson is extending his wishes for a safe and memorable Fourth of July.

In a statement, he asks all residents and visitors to obey traffic laws, never drive impaired, wear your seatbelt, and be mindful of your surroundings.

He shares that Moss Point police officers will be actively patrolling the streets throughout the holiday weekend, making sure everyone celebrates safely and makes it home to their families.

Chief Stevenson ends the statement by saying the goal is not only enforcement, but to provide a visible presence that promotes a safe environment.
