Moss Point Mayor Billy Knights appears poised to win re-election

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- In Moss Point, Mayor Billy Knight seeking a second term at the helm of the River City.

He faced off against Republican challenger Richard McBride.

With 7 of 8 precincts, reporting, Mayor Knight is out to a large lead with 93 percent of the vote.

We’ve learned that there was a technical issue counting votes for one ward in Moss Point, Ward 6 South.

City officials tell us we should get finalized returns for that ward and this race as a whole Wednesday, after officials count the votes from the ward in question by hand.
