Moss Point man to serve 24 years for possession and intent to distribute meth

A Moss Point man caught with almost a kilogram of meth in a FedEx package has been sentenced to more than 24 years in federal prison.

Forty-year-old Demetrius Darnell Mason was sentenced Thursday to 292 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Over the course of the investigation, DEA agents also located half a kilo of marijuana.
