Moss Point man charged with aggravated assault

Pascagoula Police have charged a Moss Point man with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after finding a man stabbed in the neck.

Police responded to the area of Live Oak Avenue and Market Street about 10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a stabbing.

Once on scene, they found a victim with an apparent stab wound to the neck. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition.

Officers developed Maurice Martin, 41, as a suspect and he was subsequently arrested and charged.
