Moss Point man arrested in Missouri on sex crime charges

A Moss Point man was arrested in Missouri and brought back to Jackson County, charged with sex crimes against children.
Moss Point Police Chief Brandon Ashley said 32-year-old Carroll Sandridge was arrested in Jasper County, Missouri on a warrant out of his city.
Sandridge is charged with sexual battery and touching a child for lustful purposes. The alleged acts were against two small children, Ashley said.
The investigation began in April of this year after members of the victims’ family brought a report to police.
Sandridge fled Moss Point, but the warrants were added to the NCIC computer database and he was arrested in Missouri. Two Moss Point officers drove to Jasper County to bring the suspect back to face the charges.
He is in the Jackson County jail. No bond has been set.
Ashley said he’s putting criminals on notice. “No matter where you go, we’re going to get you.
