Moss Point football team helps clean up debris

Members of the Moss Point High School football team broke out the wheelbarrows and put on their gloves to help clear storm debris in the yards of elderly residents across the city this morning.

Moss Point Head Coach John Feaster says there was no hesitation among his team when it came time to answer the call. “It’s much bigger than football. It’s about life, just trying to teach these young men to be responsible and take care of their community, and it is a testament to these kids and their parents, you know, answering the call this morning.”

The team is also headed back to the high school campus today to clean debris off the baseball field. The high school athletic facilities, including the football field and the gym, all sustained damage from the tornado.
