Moss Point Fire Department responds to Thursday morning fire

Moss Point, Miss. (WXXV)- The Moss Point Fire Department is sharing details on a Thursday morning fire that destroyed a home.

Around 2:15 in the morning, crews arrived at a home on Branch Street.

Crews worked for four hours to completely extinguish the structure. A small building on the south side of the home was saved.

Crews reported no other buildings or homes were damaged.

No injuries were reported either, but one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

The Pascagoula Fire Department, Jackson County Office of Emergency Services and Acadian Ambulances were on scene to help provide aid.
