Moss Point celebrates at 41st River Jamboree

The City of Moss Point was the place to be this weekend for the 41st annual Moss Point River Jamboree.

Attendees from all over the Coast spent a day on the riverside for a host of activities. Rhythm and blues filled the air throughout the day, showcasing local talent.

Other amenities provided for event-goers include food vendors, a car expo, a petting zoo, boat rides, paddle rides on the riverfront, and mini train rides throughout Downtown Moss Point.

Event organizers share more on the turnout and what a fun day it was in Moss Point with the return of the jamboree after a three-year break. River Jamboree event organizer Donna Joseph said, “It is just a family affair when you come to the River Jamboree, everybody expected to come out for some good food, fun, and festivities.”

Ruby O’Banner said, “(The most fun thing you’ve done today?) Feeding the llamas, it ain’t really hurt, but it felt weird.”

Main St. Moss Point President Joshua Borden said, “We love getting together, whether it be for food or music, you see the different talents that the people within our city have. Anytime, we get to express that, get together with people that we haven’t seen so long, it shows that we were truly about.”
