September 11, 2001, or 9/11, was a day that greatly impacted the world, especially here in the United States. On that morning, 19 terrorists associated with the extremist group Al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial airplanes.

The attacks resulted in the deaths of nearly 3,000 people, including passengers, first responders, and civilians.
