Alleged Ocean Springs Shooter recently released from Harrison County Jail

We’re learning more about an early morning shooting that left a man dead at an Ocean Springs bar on Bienville Boulevard.

Shots rang out just before six this morning.

Jackson County coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. confirms one person was killed at Kahuna-OS Bar & Grill.

Lynd confirmed the victim was Chase Galloway — aged 34 — of Ocean Springs.

According to Ocean Springs Police Captain Ryan Lemaire, the shooting happened outside the bar in the north parking lot around 5:40 this morning.

Captain Lemaire said there was another shooting at that location about four years ago in September 2018.

“The patrol guys did excellent when they got on scene and we also had a lot of help from the management at Kahuna’s,” said Captain Lemaire. “You know, they came in and reviewed the video footage with us and that’s how we were able to get what we got today.”

Just two weeks ago on November 10th, Oliver was arrested by Biloxi Police and charged with aggravated assault after an alleged stabbing.
He was taken into Harrison County Jail with a bond set at $200,000. The victim was found with a stab wound to the stomach and was taken to an area hospital listed in stable condition.
