MORA Awards
The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency awards Singing River Health System at the state and national level. Singing River Hospital received the largest amount of nominations in the state for “Most supportive organ and tissue donor hospital.”
Multiple staff members and departments were nominated due to their great support to MORA and to the cause of organ and tissue donating for the state of Mississippi and the community.
Susan Russell, patient care manager at Singing River Hospital, said,” I think it’s the way our staff are engaged. Our physicians strongly, strongly support the goal of organ and tissue donation and the family’s ability to make that choice. As a system, we have had multiple community outreach programs and we did receive an award for our community outreach programs.”
