Monkeypox vaccine available to high-risk patients in Mississippi

A limited number of monkeypox vaccines are now available through the Mississippi Department of Health.

The Harrison County Health Department Clinic in Gulfport is the only location offering the vaccine in South Mississippi.

As of now, 11 cases of Monkeypox have been identified in our state.

The two-dose vaccine is now available to those at highest risk for potential exposure to Monkeypox or those who have come in contact with someone who’s been infected.

If you think you may be at risk and want to make an appointment to get vaccinated, you must call the Department of Health’s Monkeypox call center at 1-877-978-6453.
