DIY Nesting Candy Valentine Instructions
Today on Mom to Mom, we have a very cute DIY explosion Valentine’s gift box.
It’s always fun to receive those gift boxes where you open it up and just stuff keeps falling out. Well, I came across this really cute idea online of A DIY Valentine’s explosion box, and all you’re going to need are about three boxes that they go fairly quickly. So you want to make sure that you grab these guys pretty fast. You can find ’em at Dollar General or Walmart or at the Craft store, some candy to go inside these guys, an exact-o knife, some double-sided tape, and whatever else you want to put in it. So if you’re ready, let’s put these boxes together. So what you’re going to want to do is kind of take the lids off the boxes and take your X exact-o knife, and you’re going to want to cut along the inside of the box just where you can kind of break it apart.
Once you cut it, you just break it apart and you keep doing that to all the corners on the boxes, all three of ’em, until they are completely flat. Then you’re going to take some glue. I like to use fabric glue just because I always have it on hand and stick it on the bottom of the boxes. So you take the smaller one and glue it to the mid-size one. Then you take the mid-size one and glue it to the bigger box. Now we’re going to take our double-sided tape and just start taping it on each side and putting the candy inside. Then once you’re done with everything all together, you stack them inside of each other with the lids on top. So then you have this really cute big box for your kids to open on Valentine’s Day. And it’s so fun because it’s just stuff with candy or whatever you want to put in it, and each box has something different.
