Mobile Recovery Unit in Jackson County Closing Friday

Madison, Miss. – The mobile recovery unit operated by FEMA and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) in Jackson County is closing permanently on Friday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m.
The unit is operating 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Riverfront Community Center, 4400 Denny St., Moss Point, MS 39563.
Jackson County residents do not need to go to a physical place to connect with FEMA. Renters and homeowners can continue to get information and apply for assistance
- by going to disasterassistance.gov
- or by calling the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362.
The FEMA helpline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with language translation services available. If you use a relay service, such as video relay (VRS), captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.
