Mississippians Gather in Jackson to Show Support for State Flag

Mississippians supporting the state flag, which includes the Confederate Battle emblem, rallied at the state capitol this morning.
A group called the Magnolia State Heritage Campaign is leading the ‘Confederate Flag and Heritage Rally.’
Supporters were encouraged to bring out their state flags or Confederate flags. The flag controversy reemerged in the spotlight last month, after South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley called for the removal of the Confederate Flag from South Carolina’s statehouse grounds.
