Mississippi students recognized at Congressional Art Competition reception

Mississippi students are being recognized for their creativity in this year’s Congressional Art Competition.

Congressman Mike Ezell announced the 2026 winners after a reception celebrating student artists from across the state.

Zoey Margrave from Petal High School took first place. Alicia Chavez, also from Petal High School, placed second. Kendyll King from Ocean Springs High School placed third.

Several students from Petal and Ocean Springs also earned honorable mentions for their work.
