Mississippi State’s Tolu Smith wins Howell Trophy, Ole Miss’ Angel Baker wins Gillom Trophy

Mississippi State’s Tolu Smith taking home this year’s Howell Trophy, going to the most outstanding men’s college basketball player in the Magnolia State.

Smith topping Austin Crowley out of Southern Miss and Matthew Murrell out of Ole Miss and he certainly has the stats to back it up, averaging 15 points per game while also leading the Bulldogs in rebounds and blocks.

On the women’s side, Angel Baker out of Ole Miss winning the Gillom Trophy over the likes of MSU’s Jessika Carter and Southern Miss’ Domonique Davis.

Baker leads the Lady Rebels with 15 points per game.
