Mississippi State women’s basketball makes headlines after defeating No. 9 LSU, 77-73

It’s no secret that ranked teams have struggled when coming to play both the Mississippi State men’s and women’s basketball teams.

On Monday, the No. 9 ranked LSU women’s program became the third top-10 ranked team to come to Humphrey Coliseum and leave with a loss.

This win against the Tigers snaps a 12-game losing streak to top-10 ranked opponents for the Bulldogs. Mississippi State will now shift their focus from this program defining win and onto the Kentucky Wildcats for their game on February 1.
