Mississippi State wins the highly anticipated in-state battle over Southern Miss with a final score of 41-21.
The highly anticipated in-state rivalry game between Southern Miss and Mississippi State took place this past Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium.
The was both quarterback Will Rogers and Jo’Quavious Marks’ first game back post suffering injuries. Also, Southern Miss’s Ethan Crawford was named the starting quarterback for the first time this season.
It was a tight game until the end, when a pick six helped the Bulldogs pull away. Mississippi State wins this one with a final score of 41-21.
The Bulldogs will try to claim the “state title” this Thursday as the face Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. Southern Miss will host the Troy Trojans.
