Mississippi State senior guard invited to WNBA draft

Where one career ends, another one begins. Today, Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians was invited to the WNBA draft, following one of the best runs in women’s college basketball history.

The graduating senior guard will be heading to New York City a week from today with hopes of becoming the fourth ever Bulldog to be picked in the first round. Her resume speaks for itself, having won the Gillom Trophy each of her fours year in Starkville. Moreover, the queen led MSU to back to back NCAA tournament championship games, sandwiched around the best regular season in school history.

The Bulldogs went a perfect 30-0 during a historic 2017-2018 campaign, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in the SEC in the last 20 years.

First round coverage of the All-American’s selection will be Thursday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2 with the second and third rounds to follow on ESPNU.
