Mississippi State Parks Director receives national award

Mississippi State Parks Director has been honored with a national award.

Andre Hollis has been honored with the prestigious Canadian Bear Trap Award for his 28 years of dedicated service to Mississippi state parks.

The award is presented each year by the National Association of State Park Directors to a leader who shows exceptional innovation, commitment, and leadership in managing and preserving state parks.

Hollis is the first Mississippian to receive the award in 40 years. The last was the award’s very first recipient, Aubrey Rozzell.
